Free health screenings, living services information, and the latest medical information are just a few things to be found at the Senior Expo '07 in Cabot on Friday, October 19. The goal is to bring together the area of Northern Pulaski, Lonoke, and White counties, their wealth of resources, information, and assistance in one place in order to serve, inform and service area seniors.
The event takes place from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Cabot United Methodist Church Family Life Center at 2003 South Pine Street in Cabot.
The keynote speaker will be Dr. David Lipschitz, Director of the Donald W. Reynolds Institute on Aging at UAMS. Admission is free, and there will also be door prizes.
Free health screenings will include blood pressure, blood sugar evaluation, cholesterol testing, flu shots, fall risk assessment, and depression screening. Anyone who is a senior, knows a senior, or works with seniors is encouraged to attend.
