Heartworms in pets are easy to prevent, but can be very difficult and costly to cure.
Joining Mallory Hardin to talk about the importance of year-round heartworm preventives for your pets are Angela Leake and Parsley -- a 4 year old Dachshund.
Rather than trying to predict when mosquitoes will be around, protect your pets (including cats) with heartworm preventive year round. Mosquitoes can live long into winter in microclimates, like sunny, protected areas in your backyard.

Parsley (23891) and friends are available for adoption at the Little Rock Animal Village, located at 4500 S. Kramer, 2 long blocks south of Asher and University. The Animal Village is open for adoptions Tuesday through Saturday from 10-5 for all animals, and from 5-8 pm on the first and third Thursday for adult cats.
