As you know what you wear can tell others a lot about you. Clothes can be a visual statement about your personality and style.
That's why a local group of women are making a statement, one t-shirt at a time.
"We were coming home from a Bible study and just talked about the need in the marketplace for a good quality Christian t-shirt. And God dropped it in our lap and we ran with it," explains HIZwear business manager, Emily Waters.
The idea for HIZwear ignited in March and by the end of July this trio was offering fashion alternatives with a big message.
"Everyone chooses the clothes they wear and they style they wear. I think just wearing these around may catch somebody's eye that needs the inspiration on the shirt," says HIZwear vice president and graphic designer, Tahnya Palanca.
"Our logo is clothe yourself in the Word of God and it's just to spread His word," adds Waters.
And what started as a dream is now a reality, but more importantly it's an answered prayer for these women seeking God's will.
"It's shown me God's greatness in a whole new way. A very tangible answer to prayer and just that he goes before us and leads the way. All we have to do is follow behind him because he's gonna provide," explains HIZwear president, Leisa Gay.
As their business continues to flourish...
"We have 5 designs that are printed," smiles Palanca.
This circle of friends is eager to see how God uses their talents down the road.
"Just seeking God for how can we use our talents, how can we use our gifts to do something that makes a difference," adds Gay.
HIZwear plans to expand by the holidays.
