Medical Examiner Determines Cause of Death for Young Searcy Couple

Searcy Police have received the medical examiner's report from a young couple that was found dead in an apartment back in late August.
The cause of death is listed as "accidental overdose of methadone."
Police have now ruled out foul play, but the investigation is still open to determine questions like whether either person had a prescription.
Searcy Police say methadone is a common pain killer and something substance abusers use to wean off other drugs, but they say it is also commonly abused as well.
