An off-duty Pine Bluff police officer shot at a woman, grazing her arm, at the Pines Mall around 7 tonight.

According to the Pine Bluff Police Department, the shooting started with a shoplifting call to the Dillards on the north side of the mall.

The security guard was trying to arrest the woman when the shooting occurred.

The woman got away, but was arrested a few minutes later at 38th and Ohio in Pine Bluff.

The officer is on administrative leave while the shooting is investigated.

We'll have more details as they become available.

I have little sympathy for thieves and thugs...pending further FACTS, I favor the officer.
