Newly Elected Member of Little Rock School Board Dies

Little Rock School Board member Michael "Pete" Peterson has died.

He was 63 years old.

The circumstances of Peterson's death are not yet known.

He was a Veteran educator and worked with the district for 38 years and had retired in 2010.

Peterson was a school board member in Zone 6 and his term was to end in 2015.

Peterson was a 1972 graduate of Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, where he played on the Reddie basketball team from 1968 - 1972.
