It's day three in the search for a convicted murderer who escaped from the state prison in Tucker.

33-year-old Curtis Reese Junior has been free for more than 48 hours after he broke out of the prison.

According to the Arkansas Department of Correction (ADC), law officers continue combing areas around the prison.

Especially in Saline County, where Reese is last known to have lived before going to prison.

He has family that lives in Benton.

Lt.. Kevin Russell said they want to make sure everyone's safe.

"This is not something we take lightly of course when it's a public danger, and we will be out there in force looking for him."

Russell said he personally saw a lot of ADC officials out Wednesday morning in Saline County checking various streets.

Again Curtis Reese, Jr. is 5'10" about 175 pounds.

Authorities say he has several tattoos with swastikas and skulls.

If you see someone matching this description, you're urged to call 9-1-1.
