October, according to Wild Man Wilson with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission is the best time to view the largest mammal in the state, Rocky Mountain Elk.

Go to Ponca Arkansas, take Highway 43 in Newton County, a quarter mile north of Arkansas Highway 74 intersection.
