Law enforcement joined with local churches, a representative from the Mexican Consulate and Stop the Violence to talk about the problem on Wednesday.
Police say criminals prey on Hispanics because they're considered easy targets, as many don't speak the language, are here illegally or are not familiar with their rights.
So groups are calling on communities to step in.
"People that's going around killing people, especially for no reason, are sad, sorry and don't deserve to be in society," says Rev. Benny Johnson with Stop the Violence.
Captain Terry Hastings says there have been three notable crimes targeting Hispanics in Little Rock recently, including the shooting death of a 26-year-old father, a case in which police are still searching for the gunman.
