We're told Stacey Hughey lives in the home with the mom and little boy, she was babysitting while his mom was at work, but she tells police she fell asleep.
The little boy's mom is very upset about all of this.
"No comment, I don't wanna make no comments," said the little boys mother.
This is the response just after finding out her son had left her Conway home while she was at work.
"How did he get out? I don't know that's what I haven't figured out yet."
This man claims to be the babysitters boyfriend and says they all live in the home together.
"Yeah he got out apparently that's all I know."
Conway police say the 2-year-old left his town home on Second Avenue around 10:00 a.m. Monday morning, while the babysitter, 21-year-old Stacey Hughey was asleep.
"And then he walked across and I was like tell me this is not a little kid walking in my direction," said neighbor Mary Grimshaw.
Grimshaw said she saw the little boy strolling down the street with no shoes on and in his pajamas.
"It was before 10, he couldn't speak and didn't say anything."
She says he was hungry, but calm.
"He was just kind of scared and lost, you know, didn't know what to do."
Mary knew what to do, she called 9-1-1, Conway police began going door to door, looking for who the little boy belonged to.
Conway Police Department Public Information Officer, LaTresha Woodruff, said after police couldn't find where the boy lived they posted his picture on media websites.
"We got a phone call from a woman that said she saw the picture online and that the child was her grandson."
Police turned the boy over to state custody.
His mom was allowed to take him home.
