Cancer survivors and firefighters came together Saturday to help those fighting diseases.

Conway firefighters started an organization called "Hearts on Fire" which had their inaugural "Men for Mammaries" 5-K Saturday morning.

Their organization dedicates themselves to help cancer patients going through treatment with support like meals and keeping their homes clean.

"We help with practical needs of cancer patients during their treatment time and to be able to do that we need to have a fundraiser so we created this event, Firefighters for the Cure to help do that," said Mark McEntire.

McEntire's wife is a survivor.
