Nutritionists say they are specific foods you should be eating to prevent cancer.

The first is garlic, which contains compounds that actually fight-off cancer producing cells.

Also reach for vegetables, specifically asparagus, which is high in foliate. Artichokes are a good choice, they contain flavanoids which kill cancer causing carcinogens. Remember to grab up some red onions and shallots and toss them in sauces or salads.

Broccoli and tomato are great on their own, but pack quite the punch together and cabbage has been shown to fight off certain forms of breast cancer.
