A spokeswoman for the state GOP confirms that party Chairman Doyle Webb made the decision to cut off candidate Charlie Fuqua as well as Representatives Jon Hubbard and Loy Mauch.
Fuqua called for deporting all Muslims in a book he wrote in 2011, while Hubbard called slavery a "blessing in disguise" in a book he penned in 2009.
Mauch has defended slavery and called Abraham Lincoln a war criminal in past statements.
News of their writings touched off intense criticism from other GOP leaders over the weekend.
