The family of Ware told KARK, he'll be discharged from UAMS on Monday and allowed to recover from his injuries at home near his loved ones.

$10,000 has already been raised to help the Ware family cover Trevor's medical costs but they're only half way there.

That's why some local artists have put together a benefit concert and art auction at White Water Tavern Friday.

"There's no doubt in my mind we are going to raise a lot of money," said Laura Kelty. "And if we can reach that goal great. If we can exceed that goal, even better."

The man accused of hitting Ware, Nathan Ray, will appear in court on Tuesday for charges of aggravated assault and leaving the scene of a crime.
