Singing legends Vanilla Ice and MC Hammer are in town for the event.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of Music Fest and with over 30 acts set to take over downtown El Dorado, businesses are preparing for an increase in sales.
"We get a lot of people that don't normally come downtown and we get a lot of people from out of town so it's pretty exciting," says Music Fest Organizer Mark Givens. "We'll have quite a few lookers that don't normally come in on a Saturday."
With an increase in flow of people expected over the next two days, stores are adjusting their typical hours to accommodate the large crowds.
"During Music Fest, we stay open until they start sweeping the streets," says one shop owner.
Music Fest starts Friday night with rap legend Vanilla Ice kicking off the show at 8:00, followed by rap sensation MC Hammer at 9:45.
