Layoffs Inevitable in Dollarway School District

By: KARK 4 News
Updated: October 3, 2012
Revenue in the Dollarway School District is down, and the superintendent says that means some jobs will have to go.

Frank Anthony says the district will lose more than $800,000 in funding next year.

Anthony also says 75 to 80 percent of the budget is in personnel, and with enrollment down there is no need for some of the extra employees.

The layoffs won't happen until the 2013-2014 school year, Anthony says.
