The Pulaski County Deputy accused of ramming a marina gate in July has been arrested.

According to Garland County court records, prosecutors plan to charge Pulaski County Lieutenant Corey Lawson with first-degree felony criminal mischief.

Lawson was booked into the jail this afternoon and almost immediately bonded out.

Garland County deputies say Lieutenant Lawson got into a fight with his girlfriend at Brady Mountain Marina in Royal back in July.

Lawson reportedly pushed her before he got into his truck and rammed an electronic security gate twice, tearing it from its hinges, according to deputies.

The Pulaski County Sheriff in August suspended Lawson without pay for four weeks, and he has since been placed on administrative duties for the time being.

The following statement was issued by the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday:

On July 6, 2012, Lieutenant Corey Lawson was involved in an incident at Brady Mountain Resort in Royal, Arkansas.  The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office Professional Standards Unit investigated this incident and Lieutenant Corey Lawson was found to have violated Standard of Conduct 01...Affirmatively Promoting a Positive Public Image.

Lieutenant Corey Lawson was suspended for one month without pay for his involvement in this incident.  He also reimbursed Brady Mountain Resort for the damages done to the gate.  Lieutenant Corey Lawson will be assigned to administrative duties until this matter is resolved.
