Update: $10,000 Reward for Info in Arkansas Baptist College Student's Killing

Little Rock Police say a $10,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest in the shooting death of Arkansas Baptist College student Derek Olivier last last month.
Olivier was laid to rest yesterday in his Louisiana home town.

The campus of Arkansas Baptist College (ABC) gathers together tonight to remember a slain student.
A campus-wide Memorial and Celebration of Life Service for Derek Olivier begins at eight o'clock in the Old Main Auditorium (1st floor) at 1600 Dr. Martin Luther King Drive.
Funeral services for Derek will be on Wednesday at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Lydia, Louisiana. Viewing will begin at 8:00 a.m. and the service will begin at 2:30 p.m.
Several members of the ABC Football team and coaching staff, along with President Fitz Hill and other staff and administrators will attend those services.
Derek Joseph Olivier was born on September 29, 1992 to Alma Marie Crosby Olivier and Joseph Harry Olivier, Jr.
Derek was a lifelong resident of Grand Marias, LA and he was the youngest of three children. He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and a member of the Holy Name Society. In addition, he was a May 2012 graduate of New Iberia Senior High School.
At twelve years of age, Derek showed a passion for sports, especially football, through his high school years. His passion for football continued as he was an active cornerback for the Arkansas Baptist Football Team in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Derek enjoyed riding horses, playing with his dog Sugar, playing jokes on his daddy, talking on the phone, messing around with his uncle Dalton, fishing with Uncle Larry (no fish), playing with nieces, wrestling with Damian(Parrian),taking special rides with Uncle Jeffrey, Mardi Gras celebrations, always stealing the keys to "The Dripper" from his brother Antoine, arguing with his sister, Felicia and last but not least fussing, fighting, and begging for her (Oobie) little change (money).
He is survived by his parents. Crosby of New Iberia, LA; aunts, Sylvia O. Boutte (Dalton) of Grand Marias, LA and Rosa Crosby of Ashton, LA; great aunt, Alice Colbert (Claude) of Franklin, LA;uncles, Larry Crosby (Merline)of New Iberia, LA, Irving Crosby (Lisa) of Bossier City, LA and James Crosby of Ashton, LA; god-fathers, Damian Boutte (Sharmetrice) of Killeen, TX and Jeffrey Boutte (Denise "Kukie") of Dallas, TX; god-mothers, Debra Boutte' of Grand Marias, LA and Rosa Crosby of Ashton, LA; nieces, Lyasia Perry, Christian Perry, Alyna Prince, Ashlyn Prince and Amara Colbert; special people in Derek's life, Dalton Boutte, Larry Crosby, Irving Crosby, Damian Boutte, Jeffrey Boutte, Michael Rose and Genever Hill and a very special friend and brother in Derek's life, Antoine Prince.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Harry Olivier, Sr,; maternal great-grandfather, Add Crosby, Sr.; uncle, Add Crosby, III; aunt, Shirley Mae Westley; god-parents, Walter and Evelyn Jack; a special great-aunt, Ida "DA" Boutte and special cousins and friends, Brody Frilot and Barry Olivier.
