North Little Rock Police Captain Promoted to Assistant Chief

A ceremony Thursday afternoon promotes Captain Mike Davis to Assistant Chief.
Captain Davis began his career in February 1986 as a patrol officer. In 1989 he was transferred to the Narcotics Division and also joined the North Little Rock S.W.A.T. Team. During his time in Narcotics he served on a Joint Task Force called Metrock.
In November 1994, Davis was promoted to Sergeant and served in the Patrol Division. During his time as Sergeant he was transferred to Narcotics where he spent several years.
In April 1999, he was promoted to the Rank of Lieutenant and served in the Patrol Division along with another stint in the Narcotics Division.
In November 2003, Davis was promoted to the Rank of Captain and was the Commander over the Patrol Division, where he has been ever since.
One of the many accomplishments in his long career includes his being a graduate of the F.B.I. National Academy.
Thursday's ceremony will be held at two o'clock at the Police and Fire Training Building, 2400 Willow Street.
