It's in mom and pop pharmacies like Cornerstone where you can find a unique line of skincare created here in Arkansas.
"It just works really well that way," said RX Skin Therapy creator Kristen Riddle.
Riddle never set out to do skincare, but the compounding pharmacist from Conway got to work in the lab, when her patients came to her with skin problems.
She brought the customized, science-based line to a few physicians and local pharmacies 3 years ago, and it's since taken off.
"Now we have exactly 227 stores around the nation that have RX Skin Therapy in their stores," said Riddle.
"Our Skin Firming Serum, across the nation, is our most popular product," she said.
Her products have gotten praise in national magazines, like Allure and Men's Journal. Despite the buzz, she has no plans to expand to big-box retailers.
"We started in pharmacy, I'm a pharmacist," said Riddle. "Pharmacists have the knowledge of skin. They know the physiology. They have that relationship with the patients."
and local pharmacists love being a part of the line's success.
Aubrey Harton, pharmacist and co-owner of Cornerstone-Chenal said, "We've all been trained on the products. We know these products well. There's someone that can stop and talk with them about each one and how it's going to benefit their skin."
You can stop by your local Cornerstone pharmacy to pick up a free sample of the Skin Firming Serum.
