It was a journey home Saturday for Miss Kyoto-shi, an 85-year-old restored Japanese friendship doll.
A homecoming reception was held for the doll Saturday at the Museum of Discovery theater.
Some special guests in attendance for the event included Little Rock Mayor Mark Stodola and the Hot Springs Village Japanese-American Folk Dancers.
The doll was originally gifted to the museum back in 1927. Few dolls like her remain in their original locations today.
Miss Kyoto-shi was restored by the grandson of the original artist that created her.
