Steve Adamson joined us in September 2012 as meteorologist.

He has been part of the broadcast meteorology business for over 20 years. His accreditations include the American Meteorological Society's CBM Seal and the National Weather Association's Broadcast Seal.

Steve has had the opportunity to work in a variety of places that offer unique weather climates. Portland, Maine was his first stop before heading south to work at stations in North Carolina. From there, it was on to Atlanta, Georgia for 10 years at WXIA-TV before heading west to work in California where his most recent broadcast job was at NBC affiliate KSBY-TV.

Steve was born in Des Moines, Iowa but grew up in the Boston, Massachusetts area.

He received his Bachelor's degree from Lyndon State College in Vermont, a school nationally recognized for its elite meteorology program. Upon graduation, Steve was inducted into the school's highest honor society in special recognition given to a few graduating students each year for academic achievement, school involvement, and service to the college.

Steve also played collegiate baseball and still plays in MABL/MSBL leagues today.

While meteorology and aviation are his two big passions, Steve's favorite things to do are wakeboarding, ice skating, and riding his Ninja motorcycle on winding, mountain roads.

Steve's three beagles already have their noses to the ground happily exploring the Natural State!
