Young Girl's Body Found in Springdale Pond

Police found the body of a young girl in Northwest Arkansas Saturday.

The girl was discovered in a pond in Springdale around 12:30. Investigators say a few kids were playing in the pond and left the girl there.

When the kids returned, they told police they could not find their friend.

The pond is located in an industrial park with no fence around it.

No word at this time on how the girl died.
