River City Ministry in North Little Rock is expanding it's services.
The inner-city ministry currently serves between 6,000-7,000 people a year.
Since 1997, River City Ministry has helped the community by offering a medical clinic, dental clinic, and eye clinic.
Friday, organizers broke ground on phase two of their project.
"We're just hoping to expand that service. We're adding a shower, a commercial washer and dryer and just trying to serve the people out here on the streets and homeless, don't have a place to wash their clothes, take a shower or come in out of the hot weather in the summer and the cold weather during the winter," says Jim Woodell, River City Ministry Executive Director.
Woodell expects the project to be completed in 5 or 6 months.
