PCSSD Sees Second Consecutive Enrollment Spike

After years of declining enrollment, students are returning to the Pulaski County Special School District.
Spokesperson Deb Roush says the district added 450 students this year, marking the second straight year they have posted a gain in enrollment.
Roush says the district opened a couple of new schools last year, including the new Maumelle High, which administrators believe may have accounted for the growth.
There are no new schools this year, but the district did invest $8 million in improvements over the summer.
