A diverse community of faiths banded together Friday night at the state capitol in remembrance of the victims of the Wisconsin Sikh temple shooting.

Little Rock Mayor Mark Stodola and others gathered for a prayer vigil to pay their respects to those killed and wounded in the shooting.

Those in attendance were hoping to uplift, enlighten and educate others about religious freedom here in Arkansas.

"We are all one actually at the end of the day, and that it does not matter what we look like and what we are," said vigil attendee Siva Soora. "We are all Americans and that's what diversity is about, and that we can celebrate our freedom."

Since the Aug. 5 shooting, there have been other shootings in other religious institutions around the country.
