Citing a rapid growth in honors students, officials at the university say the fourth residence hall will have 102 additional beds for the HLLC, which is a partnership between the Honors College and Residence Life.
A groundbreaking ceremony will be held Wednesday, Aug. 22 at 3:00 p.m., and will include remarks from the following: Dr. Tim Hudson, Chancellor; Dr. Rick Stripling, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs; Rebecca Oliver, Director of the Honors College; Devin Reed, junior in Honors; and Lindsay Mull, freshman in Honors.
At the conclusion of the ceremonial shoveling, there will be an informal reception in the HLLC Courtyard and Andy's Frozen Custard will be providing free treats to all in attendance.
