A missing persons report filed by Johnson's ex-wife says he was last seen Aug. 6, but was not reported missing until five days later on Aug. 11.
Authorities began their land and air search in the heavily wooded areas surrounding Justins Lane, Stagecoach Road and Main Route Road in Jefferson County, but were unable to obtain any clues or leads to Johnson's whereabouts.
The initial search also included investigative interviews of family members and friends who reportedly had contact with Johnson the day he allegedly went missing, but did not yield any clues to where he might be.
The Sheriff's office says although they are suspending their land and air search, they will continue to investigate the missing persons report, and ask that anyone with information regarding the disappearance or whereabouts of Daniel Ash Johnson contact Jefferson County Sheriff's Office CID Investigator Randy Jackson at 870-692-7891 (mobile) or 870-541-5496 (office).
