According to the Jefferson County SO, 28-year-old Daniel Ash Johnson left his ex-wife's house after an argument last Monday, Aug. 6 and went walking.
Johnson's ex-wife, Mary Johnson, told authorities that he left with her mobile phone, which he used to call a mutual friend and state that he was walking along Mail Route Road and needed some water.
Mary told the Sheriff's Department that when she went to drop off the water at a predetermined location, he was nowhere to be found.
Investigators began searching for Johnson with an air support unit and all-terrain vehicles near the area Johnson was believed to have most recently been.
Searchers combed through a heavily wooded area near Mail Route Road and Justin Lane/Stagecoach Road, but are yet to find anything leading to his whereabouts.
Search and recovery efforts will be suspended until Tuesday when visibility and safety is less of a factor for volunteers and/or authorities.
Anyone with information regarding the disappearance or whereabouts of Daniel Ash Johnson are urged to contact Jefferson County Sheriff's Office CID Investigator Randy Jackson @ 870-692-7891 (mobile) or 870-541-5496 (office).
