A local business is doing their part to help prevent another child from losing their life in a hot car.

Allstate Insurance in Lowell posted a sign on their front door that stated, "Stop! Have you left your child or pet in the car?"

Amanda Weeter with the company said after the two deaths over the weekend, a customer suggested the idea and thought it was an easy way to potentially save a life.

"We thought that was a great idea and we decided to run with it and hoped other local businesses would follow," Weeter says. "It feels good that we're able to reach out and show the community that we support them."

Weeter also said another Allstate location has posted the same sign, and she hopes businesses all across Northwest Arkansas will take advantage of this easy way to help remind folks to not leave children in the car.
