A father arrested after his toddler died in a hot car. He will see a judge for the first time Monday.

Newport Police say they were called to Doyle street in the Jackson County town Friday evening.

Matt Tickle told officers he intended to take his sixteen month old daughter to daycare, but forgot about her and left her in the car all day.

He discovered her unresponsive. Tickle is in the Jackson County jail, but he's not be formally charged with anything just yet.
