The parents of Trayvon Martin, are set to speak in Little Rock Tuesday morning as part of NOBLE's civil rights celebration breakfast.

Noble or the National Organization for Black Law Enforcement executives hosts the event to honor those who have contributed to the civil rights movement, including a few Arkansas natives this year.

According to Brenda Goss Andrews the event is also about highlighting questions of civil rights which are at the root of the Trayvon Martin case.

"As NOBLE that's what we look at. Step back to see if Civil Right and civil liberties have been breached, " says Andrews " We do that in many other cases not just this one."

The breakfast is from eight to 10 at the Peabody Hotel. KARK will be covering the event tomorrow morning with Trayvon Martin's family.

Comments

There has been no conviction yet the parents are going on a speaking engagement to talk about civil rights and how it affected their life thorough the death of their child. What is going to happen if Zimmerman is found not guilty by self-defense? One we know several cities will burn, too many people will be targeted in violence and three are the parents going to retract their statements?

why is it if a white person does something to a black person its considered a hate crime or a civil rights issue but if a black person does the exact same thing to a white person these same people wouldnt blink an eye, if they are so worried about civil rights then make it about everyone and quit having double standards, the name of this group is noble but if there was a group called nowle then these same people would be throwing a fit
