 An estimated 12 million Americans have food allergies....six to eight percent of children and two to four percent of adults are allergic to some type of food. So this week is Food Allergy Awareness Week. Arkansas Children's Hospital is encouraging people to be a PAL-- which stands for protect a life. They want people to share and learn about food allergies and how to protect against them. The most common food allergens are milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, soy, fish and shellfish
