Listing to an iPod Can Make Your Heart Skip a Beat

 Researchers studied what happens to pacemaker patients when an iPod is held two inches in front of their chest. They found the iPod caused interference 50 percent of the time -- in one case the pacemaker stopped. Many electronic devices have been shown to have this effect -- including cell phones and microwave ovens. Doctors say patients shouldn't place an iPod directly over their pacemaker, like in their front shirt pocket.
