Lanes Close on Broadway Bridge Wednesday
Beginning at 9:00 am crew will close down two lanes of traffic on the Broadway Bridge. The right lane for both the southbound and northbound will be closed. The lanes will open back up at 3:00 pm, the road work will last until Friday.
LR CENT Meeting Wednesday
Today, the Little Rock Citizens Evaluation of New Tax (LR CENT) will be meeting for the second time.
They are meeting to provide updates on projects that is funded by the new 3/8 cent capital investment tax.
They will be presenting this to the committee in charge with with monitoring their activity.
The meeting starts at 11:30 am at the Hinton Neighborhood Resource Center on West 12th Street.
Benton Mayor Takes Over Parks & Rec Department
Benton's mayor is now taking control of the Parks and Rec Department this morning.
He's asking the commission to be dissolved and wants more accountability after learning thousands of dollars were missing from a concession stand.
The former Director resigned Friday, the city attorney says the Assistant of the Director is under investigation because $6,000 worth of receipts unaccounted for.
