Obesity And Diabetes Go Hand In Hand, Doctor Says

 Through UAMS' telehealth video conferencing, more than 300 doctors and nurses around the state participated in the hospital's fifth annual Diabetes conference. Dr. Vitaly Kantorovich, who runs the Weight Control Program at UAMS says their is a direct correlation between the number of Arkansans who are obese and those who are diabetic. He says many patients who come into the program to lose weight end up going off their medications once the weight starts to fall off.
