Benton Police Offer Free Childseat Safety Check

By: Marci Manley, KARK 4 News
Updated: June 8, 2012
The groups brought technicians to the Walmart parking lot to conduct free child safety seat checks.

Technicians not only showed parents how to properly install and secure their children's seats, but if a parent had a car seat that is too small for their kids, the Benton Police Department offers them a free one that fits.

"As often as we can, we'll provide them with a seat so their child can be as safe as possible," said Benton Lt. Kevin Russell.

If you missed out on Friday's check, you can contact the Benton Police Department to schedule a car seat check free of charge.
