Seventeen Arkansas Counties under Burn Bans

Seventeen Arkansas counties are under burn bans as hot, dry weather continues to grip the state.

The list includes: Boone, Carroll, Clay, Cleburne, Conway, Faulkner, Fulton, Garland, Independence, Lincoln, Newton, Perry, Pope, Searcy, Sharp, Stone, and Van Buren counties. (Click here for latest map). Most of those counties are in North Central Arkansas.

The Arkansas Forestry Commission website ranks the state's wildfire danger in the moderate range statewide.
