Cathy Yarberry, 37, responsible for a wreck that left one woman dead and two more in the hospital has been charged with negligent homicide and driving while intoxicated.

Yarberry now has a $100,000 bond. She admitted to falling asleep at the wheel and drifting into on-coming traffic hitting a vehicle head-on and killing the driver, Janice "Jo Ann" Carrington.

"She had, to sum it up," said daughter Teresa Carrington-Day. "Unconditional love for everybody she was always there for all of us and she'll truly be missed."

Teresa struggles to make sense of her mother's death this week, killed in an accident outside Bryant.

"Apparently this person was drinking, texting, and using drugs" said Teresa, "And made a choice to drive and shattered our lives."

Yarberry admitted to falling asleep behind the wheel and drifting into oncoming traffic.

Teresa's sister and 11-year-old son Noah, also in the car, but are recovering from their injuries.

"It could have been a lot worse," said Teresa.

Noah is autistic and was helped through the horrific ordeal with the help of a good Samaritan who pulled him from the wreckage and gave him direct and comforting words.

"When he pulled him out," Teresa said, "He told him you're not going to die."

Something clear and to the point. Noah is recovering at Children's Hospital in Little Rock facing some hard truths.

"Noah found out his grandma died," Teresa said, "He's taken it hard. "

Funeral services for Carrington will take place at Dial & Dudley Funeral Home on Wednesday.

Her viewing will be Tuesday from 6 PM to 8 PM.
