Little Rock fire officials say there is now a second rescue operation in the area for a woman who is believed to have jumped in the river.
Captain Jason Weaver with the Little Rock Fire Department says the woman jumped in the river at Rebsamen Park earlier this afternoon.
Weaver says rescue resources are split between the two searches.
ORIGINAL STORY:
Searchers are searching for a man they say jumped into the Arkansas River from the Broadway bridge Sunday.
Little Rock police are investigating whether the same man was involved in an earlier disturbance at the Doubletree Hotel in downtown Little Rock.
LRPD spokesperson Ofc. Michelle Howard tells KARK officers were called to the Doubletree around 11:00 Sunday morning to investigate a man who wouldn't leave the lobby when asked.
Howard says the description of the man who jumped from the bridge two hours later may match the man from the hotel disturbance.
So far rescuers have been unable to locate the body. The search is being conducted by the Little Rock Fire Department and the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department.
KARK has a crew on the scene and will have the very latest tonight at 5:00.
