It was another super-sized weekend for "The Avengers."

The film grossed another $103 million in its second week in theaters, according to studio estimates. It's the first film ever to earn more than $100 million domestically in its second weekend.

Disney estimates the film earned $1 billion in ticket sales worldwide in just 19 days. It becomes just the 12th film in history to pass that mark.

The Tim Burton flick "Dark Shadows" starring Johnny Depp came in second with $28.8 million.

"Think Like a Man" rounded out the top three, pulling in $6.3 million.
