Spirit Airlines announces it will soon charge up to $100 for carry-on bags that are stored in an overhead bin.
That's a $55 price hike for anyone who pays at the gate. That means your bag could cost more to fly than your own ticket.
The fee is less for people who pay at the ticket counter and even less for those who pay online. Spirit is also increasing fees for checked bags.
