Preparing for church is not the same.
"You'll have to help me carry it."
Since the day after the tornado hit.
"It is an inconvenience."
Members Martha Martin and Mary Gibson of the Vilonia Church of Nazarene take turns with other members, setting up the Family Life Center for Sunday service.
"They have worship service here now in the family life center, because their church they say is now unrepairable."
Once they wanted to restore the old sanctuary.
"It's not feasible to fix our building."
So the members decided to rebuild.
They are insured with Guide One.
They say Guide One paid its part of the tornado damage.
But then they discovered the church has a terrible termite problem.
"Our termite supplier Adam's Pest Control out of North Little Rock, they have never denied they are not responsible, have in fact said "we are responsible". "
But just how much responsibility Adam's Pest Control will take is the question.
The church is asking them to pay the remainder of what Guide One didn't pay, the rest of what the church insurance policy is worth, 634-thousand dollars.
"It's just getting everybody together to see what needs to be done and actually just getting them to step up and take responsibility."
So they can get back to being a church.
"I'm just wanting a resolution. A gym is no where to call a home."
"You miss out on having your own sanctuary."
Until then members will set up, and take down, pieces used to create a Sanctuary.
Hoping a brighter day will come for a new one.
