A man accused of defrauding the city of Bryant is in custody.

City officials say Christopher Dwayne Barnes charged over $40,000 in 2010 without delivering on all the promised work and equipment.

Barnes was taken into custody at a pizza restaurant in Fayetteville.

An audit conducted by the Arkansas State Legislature alleges that Barnes failed to deliver or complete work on the new phone system for City Hall.
