The Forrest City Police Department (FCPD) is set to reveal details tomorrow about its solving of a murder case from 2000.

In a news release this afternoon the FCPD said:

The September 2000 murder of a Forrest City resident has finally been solved, after nearly twelve years since that tragic event. Modern science, good and thorough police work, coupled with the faith and perseverance of the victim's family, have resulted in justice (finally and once and for all) for homicide victim Tawana Blunt.

The FCPD will hold a news conference at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning to discuss details of the investigation.

Some of Blunt's family and friends are also expected to be there for the announcement.
