The state is looking to fill seven thousand seats in free preschool programs over the next 30 days. Officials kicked off a public information campaign today to promote the early childhood education program for three- and four-year-olds from low-income families. The program is being funded with 40 (m) million dollars from this years special legislative session on education. Officials say an early start in education for poor children can help toward a better future for them and improved the economic well-being of the state. Entergy Arkansas and Tyson Foods are footing the bill for the nearly $100,000 public information campaign that includes posters, brochures and public service announcements on radio and television.
