The two special masters reviewing state efforts to improve public education today denied a request to delay a hearing set for Monday and Tuesday. Don Trimble, an attorney representing the Lake View School District, had asked for the postponement. He claimed the state hadnt provided key documents. The special masters, Bradley D. Jesson and David Newbern, also said Friday they would consider holding an additional hearing in March if either side asked for one. The former state Supreme Court justices noted that some testimony could be developed from computer information that is not yet available from the Education Department. They said that information could be put forth at a hearing, possibly starting March eighth.
