When you hear the words, "Audio Kinetic Assault" - what comes to mind? Well audio - that has to do with sound. "Kinetic" has to do with motion and energy. And assault - well that could mean trouble. Bottom line, if youre over 35 you might want to protect your ears. "My parents were like, wow they just scream...and we do. You cant understand the lyrics when you go to a real Christian hard-core show. But the thing is, you want to know so bad, and you go on line and you look at the lyrics and you study them," explains Jordan Long of Audio Kinetic Assault. Jordan Long is the lead singer of Audio Kinetic Assault, or AKA the band. He is from Bald Knob, Arkansas, and he and the rest of the band are on a great journey. Its not just the miles they put on their van going from concert to concert, its the rugged road they travel to spread the message of acceptance. "We know what we believe, but were not going to condemn anyone who doesnt believe exactly what we do. Like a good Buddhist thats a good person -- could be a better person than I am. As a Christian, I am not going to come down on them. I love them as much as someone who believes just like I do," Long adds. And sometimes their message is not delivered in a throat straining scream. "We just wanna show people instead of just telling them what we are a Christian band. We would rather show them what kind of people we are and show them what kind of spirituality we have," Long says. Besides Long, theres Jones, Dane and Sturgis. They make-up the foursome who crisscross the country playing big concert venues and small churches like the Community of Christ in Bald Knob. And even if some of us might choose to turn the Audio Kinetic Assualt down a little, you can still get the bands message. For more information about the band click here www.akatheband.com
