Scientists say the key to clearing up acne may be growing in your garden.
A new British study found creams made from the herb thyme effectively killed the bacteria that causes acne after only five minutes of exposure. Thyme also had a greater anti-bacterial effect than benzoyl peroxide, which is used in most commercial acne creams and washes.
While more tests are still needed, researchers say an herbal treatment for acne would be especially helpful for those with sensitive skin.
