The Conway Christian School (CCS) Drama Club is one of 30 drama programs around the country in the running for the grand prize of the Smash-Make-A-Musical program.
The contest is part of the Junior Theater Project and the NBC show Smash, seen on KARK 4.
If CCS wins, they will get production assistance valued at $10,000 on their next play.
The organization will choose the top ten programs based on online voting.

CCS is the only school in Arkansas included in the 30, and is hoping for support from around the state in the voting.
The school's description on the project website reads:
"We create quality productions with very limited resources. Our students rehearse in the school gym in between basketball practices. They paint the sets outside on on picnic tables in the middle of winter. We make everything we need from scratch with no dedicated budget. In spite of that, 80% of our school population takes part in the play and nearly 90% of our school community attends each production. We need a performance space, and this program will bring us the attention we need to begin the process of raising money to build it."
